Mon 18th Apr 2016 - 3:05pm General Gaming

Many of us have been given thoughts about a potential competitive career in eSports. Some have made it, others are still on their way to it and there are those who just can`t find the right motivation for it or circumstances will not allow them to follow this beautiful dream.

We know how important it is to find that material, that story or video that will make your motivation click. Obviously, motivation is just a part of the road, the rest is hard work and dedication. We`ve looked around and choose some of the best video documentaries, to help you find your way to the eSports dream. The videos will focus on different games and different teams but they have the same strong message.

Ninjas in Pyjamas - Redemption - ESL One Cologne 2014 (CS:GO)

We are going to start with the most iconic eSports game out there, Counter-Strike. The game has been around for more than 15 years and has become a soul game for many of us, as we witnessed it growing right in front of our eyes. The video we choose is a story of a legendary and all crowds loved team, Ninjas in Pyjamas, as they win their first major title at ESL One Cologne in 2014.

Free to Play - The International 2011 (Dota 2)

The second video is a mixed story, featuring some of the greatest Dota 2 players of all time, playing for legendary and old school teams like: Natus Vincere, Scythe and Online Kingdom. It is a Valve production movie that focuses on both career and personal sides of these awesome players` lives, as well as their attendency to the first Dota 2 major tournament with the biggest prize pool to that date, 1.6 million $.

Live / Play (League of Legends)

The last one is a League of Legends documentary produced by Riot Games, focused not only on the competitive scene necesarily, but as well as different passions and hobbies of various League players around the world.

In Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mariana transforms into Mafia Jinx during one of the country’s biggest cosplay competition, while over 10,000 kilometers away, Eyjo battles across Summoner’s Rift on a boat drifting off the coast of Stykkishólmur, Iceland.

In Cairo, Egypt, Amin connects with other cultures through League just as Braeden, a pro League player known as PorpoisePops, hones his skills, practicing up to 12 hours a day, in Los Angeles, USA. Across the globe, robotics hobbyist Yong-Seung displays his latest creation, a massive remote controlled Baron Nashor, at Maker’s Faire in Seoul, South Korea.

All of the above documentaries show us how rewarding hard work and dedication can be if you are passioned and motivated enough. Learn to follow and love your dreams with all your heart and never put limitations and barriers in front of you while following the road. Ask for help and help in return, show teamwork and friendly communication in everything you do in life.

We are gamers and what we need to do is show the world how amazing and magical our passions are and this made us the good persons we are in our every day life.
